Week 3 of the Season is in the books and we've had our first BYE's of the season. Through two weeks of the Frenzy's season we have four undefeated players and all of them are leading their division. bharris picked up two wins with the Raven's win over San Diego in week 2, and the Cowboys win over the Panthers last week. Lrobbins with Indy's win over Miami and Philly's win over KC sits at 2-0. Jeff C, after picking the Redskins in week 2 and being scared to death, and getting a win out of New England over ATL last week also sits at 2-0 and D10206156 is also 2-0 with wins out of Indy over the Dolphins and the Giants shutout of the Bucs. Mark falls to 0-2 as the hapless Redskins gave the Lions their first win in 20 months... way to go 'Skinis!
Looking back at week 3, the Cowboys got their first win in the new 1+ Billion dollar stadium, The Eagles (behind Kevin Kolb) handled the Chiefs with ease, 34-14, and in one of the bigger surprises of the week, the Steelers managed to give away a game to the once-lowly-but-now-looking-like-a-contender-but-still-really-not Cincinatti Bengals on a last minute drive that ended in the end zone for the 23-20 win. Other scores include the Redskins losing to the Lions, 19-14, the Raven PASTING the possibly-worst-team-in-the-league Browns as they should have, 34-3, the Chargers over the Dolphins 23-13, the Patriots over the Falcons, 26-10, the Saints beat up the Bills, 27-7, the Texans lost to the Jags, and the Colts beat the Cards, 31-10.
Some of the biggest games of week 4 include the Ravens in New England, Green Bay in Minnesota, the Jets at New Orleans, and the Chargers at Pittsburgh. If the Ravens win the rest of the NFL will officially HAVE TO TAKE NOTICE (as if they haven't already). The new face of the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers, takes his team into the Dome in Minnesota to face the Ghost of Packers' past Brett Favre. The Saints and the Jets are two surprising 3-0 teams and this game pits the most powerful scoring offense this year against the stingiest yardage defense this year. The 2-1 Cbargers will go into Pittsburgh Merriman-less and the Steelers, who are 1-2, are out for blood as their two losses came in the waning moments of those two games in which they led for most of the game.
The selection window is open until 1:00pm Sunday which means you have just over 75 hours to get your picks in. Good luck.
And now for some highlights from week 3 in the NFL:

something to consider for next year: person picks 2 of their 3 teams. the last team is randomly generated by the computer. September 22, 2008 9:32 PM

What do you guys think about keeping the rules the same as far as picking your three teams and each week picking one, but instead of JUST picking a team, you get scheduled against an opponent who is also in the game. The person whose team wins by the most(or loses by the least) gets the victory? September 25, 2008 12:05 PM

I might remove the BYE week and start the playoffs a week early. This would set up a two week opening round, a one week 2nd round, and a two week championship round... 5 weeks of playoffs altogether. This might aleviate some of the tiebreaker issues I'm trying to work around with the current playoff set up. December 22, 2008 11:12 AM
