No real update this week... just that 3 more players have been eliminated.
Jking, JayDub, and GRIER have been added the list of players who won't be making it into the postseason.
Week 12 starts Thanksgiving day at noon:30. Be sure to have your picks in before that first games kicks off or you will take a loss. Good luck everyone.

Mid Week 10 Update... Week 9.9
So week 10 , for all intents and purposes, is just about over. There's only one more game to go this week, as the last game of the week has turned into quite a laugher and that game has some Frenzy playoff implications. With the Eagles win If the Eagles win, Carp will has officially be been eliminated from playoff contention as he is will be 4 games back in his division and in the Wild Card with only 3 games left in the regular season. This week also had other playoff implications... The loss by the Ravens to the Falcons and the non-pick by Foxalicious coupled with wins by the Jets, Dolphins, Patriots, and Colts made BigGuy and Foxalicious the first to be eliminated from playoff contention. Sorry guys, but better luck next year. That same loss by the Ravens also knocked down our last remaining unbeaten player. <3 KeV <3 took her first loss of the season and with it lost her perch atop the overall standings as mhelsdon got a big win out of the Patriots pushing her into that top spot, ever so briefly. But the win by the Eagles has vaulted family into that #1 seed.
The result from the other game that affected the Frenzy had the 49ers beating the St. Louis Rams.
This week is another short week as there is another Thursday Night Football game, so get your picks in by 8:20pm Thursday. Good luck to everyone still involved in a tight race... all four of the divisions are still up for grabs with only 3 weeks left in the Frenzy regular season.

Week 9
This topsy-turvy 2010 NFL season continues... week 9 is just about in the books with one half of football left to play and the Steelers look to have the Bengals pretty well in hand at 20-7. Yet again... there were some surprising results and there were some not so surprising results.
The Saints pounded the Panthers who (even with the Bills being winless) have to be the worst team in football right now. At least the Bills are playing "well." They're just not getting the breaks... or playing any defense. 7 players picked the Saints and picked up Ws because of it; LRobbins, Wissinger, SAW, kinger 1, BERT#1, Foxalicious, and <3 KeV <3. Bret Favre was able to bring the Vikings back from a 14 point deficit in the 4th quarter to beat the Cardinals in OT, and the Ravens handled the Dolphins with relative ease, 26-10.
In a game in which the winner was not surprising, but the manner in which they laid the wood was, the Packers absolutely destroyed "America's Team." Puh-leeeaase. 45-7? Really?!How long until Wade Phillips is no longer employed? because of that. In another blow out, in which the winner was not surprising but the final score kinda was- the Giants jumped out to quick 21-0 lead on the Seahawks and went on to finish that game victors by a score of 41-7.
In a TOTAL SHOCKER, and handing Gridiron Guru his first lost of the season, "Walter" Peyton Hillis ran for 184 yards and 2 TDs against the Patriots, and the Rookie out of Texas, Colt McCoy, & the Browns downed the Patriots fairly handily, 34-14. This game also handed GoDawgs his 3rd loss of the season and he finds himself in a pretty deep hole with only 4 games left in the Frenzy regular season. Another fairly surprising result came out of Philadelphia, as Michael Vick and the Eagles beat the Colts, 26-24. The Colts now sit at 5-3, tied with the Titans for the lead in the AFC South. The Colts' third loss also matches JayDub's third loss of the season.
With 9 NFL weeks and 8 Frenzy weeks played, there is only one unbeaten player in the Frenzy... <3 KeV <3 continues to roll.
This week, week 10 of the NFL regular season, starts some schedule changes. All of you need to be aware. Picks are due by the time the first game of the week starts. This week begins Thursday Night Football. MAKE SURE TO GET YOUR PICKS IN BY 8:20 pm, Thursday November 11. And for the next several weeks keep an eye on the NFL schedule as Thanksgiving always has a game that starts at noon and there are other Thursday and Saturday night games through the coming weeks. Good luck to everyone moving forward as now is the time to start making a playoff push.

Week 8 Update
Week 8 is complete and there's some news in the NFL. Shawne Merriman has officially been waived by the Chargers and subsequently picked up by the Bills. Randy Moss, after only 4 weeks with the Vikings, has been cut and he now finds himself with the Titans. To me, that's the biggest move of the season so far. I know Moss isn't what he once was, but when Kenny Brit gets back the Titans will have two legitimate deep threats which you would think would open up the box more for the already beastly Chris Johnson... watch out for that team! Bret Favre now has eight stitches in his chin, to go along with the two broken bones in his ankle and the tendonitis in his elbow... Take the hint old man! You're body can't take much more of this. And in the most odd turn of events... Donovan McNabb is either lazy or just stupid. You decide. According to his head coach, Rex Grossman knows the 2 minute offense better than McNabb... wait-no, McNabb just wasn't in shape to run the 2 minute offense.
On to results; for the second year in a row the Detroit Lions downed the Washington Redskins. With that "upset"(because, really, how GOOD are the Redskins), GRIER and Carp have fallen to 4 losses and that's hard to come back from in the Frenzy... especially when two players are still undefeated. That loss also dropped Mark to 3-3. In the game of the week, Houston at Indy, the Colts pretty much marched all over the Texans D, winning 30-17, and keeping thehaier (5-1) & family (5-1) in the Wild Card slots by virtue of points differential over Fumble and Jojo Oienx who each got victories out of the Patriots and the Dolphins, respectively. Also getting the W from the Patriots were LRobbins, mhelsdon, Go Mountaineers, and <3 KeV <3. mhelsdon and <3 KeV <3 maintain their positions atop their divisions with that victory. In London, San Francisco got their second win of the season, beating the Broncos 24-16 and dropping Wissinger to 3-3. The Steelers got pretty much shutdown by the Saints, 20-10. Although Cam2109 picked the Steelers this week, and subsequently took the L, he remains atop the Kent Division with a 4-2 record. Kinger 1 and BERT#1 are able to keep hope with a win out of San Diego. They are both 3-3 and clinging to stay within striking distance. Luckily for them, they are in the Kent Division, too, where the leader has 2 losses. However, BigGuy, who also took the Chargers and is 3-3 finds himself 3 games back in the division and 2 games back in the Wild Card. Finally, JKing, who seems to have an affinity for Bret Favre and the drama that follows him, picked the Vikings and lost 28-18, dropping her to 4-2.
6 games down, 5 games left to pick to get into the playoffs. At this point, no one is eliminated but the future looks grim for several. Key games in the NFL this week include Miami (4-3) @ Baltimore (5-2), Tampa Bay (5-2) @ Atlanta (5-2), and even though the records would indicate otherwise, Pittsburgh (5-2) goes to Cincinatti (2-5) for an always tough divisional matchup. Make sure you get your picks in (if you want). You can't win without making a pick. Good luck everyone... but not too much.

something to consider for next year: person picks 2 of their 3 teams. the last team is randomly generated by the computer. September 22, 2008 9:32 PM

What do you guys think about keeping the rules the same as far as picking your three teams and each week picking one, but instead of JUST picking a team, you get scheduled against an opponent who is also in the game. The person whose team wins by the most(or loses by the least) gets the victory? September 25, 2008 12:05 PM

I might remove the BYE week and start the playoffs a week early. This would set up a two week opening round, a one week 2nd round, and a two week championship round... 5 weeks of playoffs altogether. This might aleviate some of the tiebreaker issues I'm trying to work around with the current playoff set up. December 22, 2008 11:12 AM
