Week 8 Results

Week 8 is complete and with a win, aj9696 is still in contention. Winners include the Cowboys over the Bucs, the Panthers over the Cardinals in come-from-behind fashion, the Seahawks pounding the Niners, and the Chargers losing to Drew Brees and the Saints in London. In addition, the Bills got beat by the Dolphins who stand at 3-4, only 2 games out of their division. The Redskins won. It may not have been pretty but they DID win. The Patriots put the Rams back in their place after they beat the Redskins and Cowboys in consecutive weeks. The Jets eeked out a winner on a last minute TD catch by Laverneus Coles to send the Chiefs to 1-6, and my boys told the Raiders where to go... Ravens 29, Raiders 10.

In other games, the Bungles just plain suck, 0-7 now, after giving up 35 points to the Texans, and only scoring 6 themselves and the Giants/Steelers game was a good one, with the Giants coming out on top, 21-14.

Week 9 is upon us and the playoff picture, although still very fuzzy, is starting to show SOME details... If Mark Wood or Jeff Gravatt win, aj9696 will be eliminated from any chance to win the Sussex division, leaving the wild card as his only possible chance at the playoffs. In the Delaware division, if Joey Gravatt loses he will be eliminated from contention at the division, leaving the wild card as his only path to the playoffs.

The week 9 selection window is open and you have until 11/2 at 1:00pm to make your selection for the week. BYE's this week go to andy73, jwark, dayzd toe, kerri78, aj9696, and 5687. Good luck this week to everyone.

I think the winnings breakdown should be 50/30/20. September 22, 2008 9:21 PM

What do you guys think about keeping the rules the same as far as picking your three teams and each week picking one, but instead of JUST picking a team, you get scheduled against an opponent who is also in the game. The person whose team wins by the most(or loses by the least) gets the victory? September 25, 2008 12:05 PM

I might remove the BYE week and start the playoffs a week early. This would set up a two week opening round, a one week 2nd round, and a two week championship round... 5 weeks of playoffs altogether. This might aleviate some of the tiebreaker issues I'm trying to work around with the current playoff set up. December 22, 2008 11:12 AM
