That about is sums it up. Week 3 is over and the NFL standings are upside-down. 3-0 teams include the Chiefs, the Bears, and the Steelers, who during a normal season wouldn't be a surprise. But this year they are down to their 4th quarterback. Go figure. But they DO have a hell of a defense. That's going to be a scary team when Big Ben gets back. Among the surprises at the bottom of their divisions... the "Superbowl bound" Dallas Cowboys at 1-2 and the shocking 0-3 49ers who have lost to both the Seahawks and Chiefs. Now, there are some regular bottom-dwellers who have assumed their rightful positions at the bottom of their divisions; The Bills, the Browns, the Raiders, and the Lions.

Now on to the Frenzy results for week 3. We are now starting to get some separation in the standings... not by wins & losses, but by points differential as the Ravens squeaked by the Browns 24-17. Not to discount the Browns because they are a professional football team, but, really? The Browns? Squeaking? That's scary for Ravens fans as the Ravens will have to go into Pittsburgh now for week 4. The Baby Horses beat the Daddy Horses 27-13. The Patriots D is really suspect as they just allowed the Bills to put 30 on 'em... but when you score 38 points you can do that and still win. The Vikings got off the schnied with a 24-10 win over the Lions. In the game of the week (at least according to the poll) the Falcons (and 45% of voters) ended up on the right side of the scoreboard, beating the Saints 27-24. The Eagles, who decided that Kevin Kolb is NOT the future of their franchise (at least not the immediate future), went with Michael Vick and it paid huge dividends this week. They downed the Jags 28-3. And last but not least, the Striped Cats beat the Black Cats 20-7.

Week 4 is now upon us and everyone has until Sunday, 10/3, to get your picks in for this week. If I don't get a pick you'll take a loss and no points will be recorded. Good Luck!

What do you guys think about keeping the rules the same as far as picking your three teams and each week picking one, but instead of JUST picking a team, you get scheduled against an opponent who is also in the game. The person whose team wins by the most(or loses by the least) gets the victory? September 25, 2008 12:05 PM

I might remove the BYE week and start the playoffs a week early. This would set up a two week opening round, a one week 2nd round, and a two week championship round... 5 weeks of playoffs altogether. This might aleviate some of the tiebreaker issues I'm trying to work around with the current playoff set up. December 22, 2008 11:12 AM
